Some of our residents had requested that we trick or treat on the Saturday before Halloween like we did last year, but there was not enough support to make the change this year.
Thanks to everyone for your feedback! |

Halloween falls on a Monday this year but some residents have asked about trick or treating the Saturday before Halloween instead. You can express your opinion by visiting the Richmond POA Facebook page, or contact Tracy Tumminello at tracytumminello@bellsouth.net. |

There was a great turnout for the spring sale and the fall sale should be just as good. Set up early and turn those dusty treasures into cash!

Everyone has probably noticed by now the work which has
begun at the main entrance to the neighborhood. The appearance of the entrance
has long been a source of complaints so the association made a decision to move
forward in making some much needed improvements. One of the most difficult
problems that had to be dealt with was the trees planted in front of the fence.
Some of the trees were dead, some were leaning, and they were growing too large
for their location. Removing them was a big job but now they are gone and will
be replaced by 12 Crape Myrtles and 36 Pink Encore Azaleas. The azaleas will
stay green year round, and should bloom trough the spring and summer months to
add some attractive color. The association contracted with Applaudable
Landscaping to do the work, and they will also be trimming all of the entrance
plantings at the same time. Combined with the recent improvements to the median
we will soon have an entrance which appropriately compliments our individual
homes and helps to support our property values. Total cost for the project is $
1700.00 to remove the trees and stumps, and $4200.00 landscaping which includes
12 Crepe Myrtles, 36 Encore Azaleas, top soil, sod, installation of a water
faucet, and daily waterings until plants are established. |

This is just a reminder to everyone that the Richmond Neighborhood Yard Sale is scheduled for this Saturday, April 9, between 7AM and Noon.
Even if you don't have anything to sell you can still come and visit with your neighbors and maybe even find that special item that you have been looking for!
The sale is being advertised on Craigslist and in the newspaper, and we typically have a good turnout, so please join us.

The Richmond neighborhood yard sale has been scheduled for April 9. By all accounts this has always been a very successful event in the past so gather up all those household treasures that you no longer need and turn them into some cash! |

The pool repairs were initiated on Saturday morning (2/12/11) and by the end of the day all Tile had been repaired or replaced and the pool surface is prepped for the gunite work that will take place Tuesday. Keith of Keith’s Pools pointed out the major flaws with the pool surfaces that were caused by a lack of maintaining the proper PH causing pitting of the concrete. The project should be complete by the end of the week. |
